MP Michael Kram Welcomes Dominican Ambassador Blanco

Michael Kram, Member of Parliament for Regina-Wascana today extended a welcome to Jose Blanco, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Canada.

“I met with Ambassador Blanco last fall and I am proud to call him a friend. Since the moment of our first meeting, we have been working on building stronger trade and economic ties between his country and Saskatchewan. I am pleased to see those efforts come to fruition with his current visit,” Kram said.

Ambassador Blanco’s four-day trip will include visits to Saskatchewan Research Council facilities, the provincial Ministry of Trade and Export, the Canada Farm Show in Regina, a travel and tourism roundtable with the Regina Airport Authority and other tourism representatives, as well as other stops.

“As soon as I mentioned a trip to Saskatchewan, Ambassador Blanco could not contain his enthusiasm. He said, ‘how soon can I come?’ My provincial colleagues and I are pleased he could come at his earliest opportunity.”

MP Kram and local stakeholders will be having a meeting with the Ambassador on March 17.
